Membership Drive 2020/2021

Dear Castle Mountain Community Members:

Our annual CMCA membership drive is underway.  We hope you’ll renew your membership, or join, for 2020/21.  We’d also appreciate donations.

All the money we raise goes directly into things that make our community better.  Some of our recent projects include: a playground to entertain kids; several kilometers of all season trails to entertain the whole family; garbage and recycling bins, and doggy bag dispensers, to reduce litter; speed limit, playground and parking signs to remind drivers of the rules that protect us; decorative lighting to brighten winter nights, and spring cleanups and weed eradication to enhance the base area’s appearance in the summer. We also produce The Liftline newsletter to keep you informed of what’s happening around the resort, and we represent the community in local and provincial politics to make sure your interests are heard and respected.

Future projects we are thinking about include a new permanent bridge over Haig Creek for better access to our multi-use trails there, further development of the trail network, a community- owned gathering area, a small skateboard park and a mountain bike skills park. We will be canvassing the community for more ideas.

But, Covid 19 is causing havoc with our finances. With the cancellation of Huckfest last summer, and the likely cancellation of the Maritime Dinner and Casino Night this winter, we expect a revenue shortfall of about $4,000 compared to last year.  So, we hope you will consider doubling down on your support for CMCA this year. All donations will be gratefully accepted and will be invested wisely to make Castle a community you are happy to come home to.

Posted on the top menu bar of this page is a Membership Form and a Listing of our previous accomplishments. In order to comply with Covid restrictions, we ask that you complete the registration form and then eMail it (or a photo of it) to castlemountaincommunity@gmail.com.  Note that you can register multiple family members.  Also then please eTransfer $20 per adult member, plus donations as possible, to treasurercmca@gmail.com. (Kids under 18 are free).  Alternatively, mail your registration and a cheque to Castle Mountain Community Association, PO Box 455, Pincher Creek Alberta, T0K 1H0.

Thank you in advance.
